I purchased this e-book a while back when I had a family member get diagnosed. This book helps you get a good understanding of the disease, what the common symptoms are, and how to deal with the person. What's interesting is how the symptoms manifest into very similar if not identical situations and stories. This book is a must read for anyone who has a friend or family member dealing with this disease, it helped my sanity.

The first couple of chapters talks about the symptoms and signs of schizophrenia. There are a few vignettes in the book, but not many. Most of the book focuses on the treatment and recovery of this debilitating disease, and it appears that the book is written for families of those who suffer and the patients themselves. Overall, it is a good book covering everything you need to know about the illness. I wish there were more vignettes so I could lean about real people who suffer from it and how they recovered.
