Arizona Politicians: The Noble and the Notorious. He is also a veteran newspaperman, having worked at the Philadelphia Inquirer, the Oregonian, the Providence Journal, the Arizona Republic, the Arizona Daily Star and the Oakland Tribune. He wrote his first book, One Step From the White House: The Rise and Fall of Senator William F. Knowland, co-authored with Gayle Montgomery at the age of 60. His book, De Grazia: The Man and the Myth, about the acclaimed Southwest artist, was released Feb. 27, 2014, by the University of Arizona Press.
