While this book DOES contain a guide to pronunciation both at the beginning of the book and at the detailed word level, the pronunciation details themselves are very disappointing.

While this book DOES contain a guide to pronunciation both at the beginning of the book and at the detailed word level, the pronunciation details themselves are very disappointing. The distinction of Welsh rising and falling diphthongs is not made (. "OO-ee" versus "wEE" for WY), and long and short vowel distinction is not made (. a long E is transliterated exactly like a short E). Additionally, the marking of syllabic stress is not clear and in some cases incorrect.
