Provides the novice with advice on the selection and care of Oriental rugs as well as identifying the rugs of each nation
  • The book is very dated, not quite useless today but not far from it. Unexpectedly, its focus is very tightly on what rugs are available on the market around 1960, and where. The information must have been priceless at the time. Today, some of the detailed information provided about the sourcing of the rugs is interesting -- the large majority of the pages, however, are totally outdated or wrong.

Approximately 200 pictures, of which about a quarter are color. All pictures are in a back appendix -- none match the text.

  • Many typo errors in kindle edition surely not seen in original hard copy. Book is dated (1960's) but of interest to rug enthusiasts.

  • good for referance
