  • I thought there would be more information about all types of yarns, and more of the types on the market today. I'm a crocheter, but this book seemed more suited for spinners, not those working with the end product.

It's pretty interesting, but I wish it would have gone into more detail for those of us who use the yarn, not those who make it.

  • The book cover tells you that it is aimed at textile artists, spinners, and weavers, and it definitely is! As a spinner and crocheter when I bought it (and now a weaver) I find it a really thorough and interesting review of yarn and fabric structure and spinning techniques. Well researched and perhaps a bit scholarly.
