  • very informative with specifics and illustrations..an excellent read and reference book.....exjpedrienced or not.

  • This is one of the best resource books I've read. It is well thought out and written meticulously with nice illustrations. My copy is hardcover. There is a lot more information here than I thought there would be. The author loves horses and really loves trail riding. I would recommend this book to any trail rider, regardless of experience. It is worth reading for the anecdotal stories alone.

  • This should be a must have on the stable's library shelf. It has a vast amount of info and is well presented, with well chosen photos and diagrams. It would be great to gift one to a horse owner, a 4-H member, or better yet, yourself. Made for a great read, and review.

  • Has a lot of good information, reinforcing some of the things I've learned, and introduces new ideas.

  • This is a Christmas gift so right now is wrapped up. Will give it 5 pts for the following though: quick shipping, good packaging, looked through the book and seems like it has lots of good info.

  • Large and well illustrated. Lots of information packed into this book. Covers a wide range of topics. Would buy again.

  • This book had excellent information throughout. Very detailed on trailriding and how to prepare for it whether a novice or expert rider.
