Hi, I think you should consider reading the book called The Analects of Confucius(论语 lun yu). It was sorted by Confucius’ disciples about what Confucius had said. Confucius’ thought made and still is a great impact on Chinese culture and society. The book is originally written in classical Chinese, but there are many simplified Chinese translated versions. To be honest, it is abstract, and a little bit hard and dull.
