501 French Verbs: with CD-ROM and MP3 CD (501 Verb Series) by Christopher Kendris P. The French Grammar book is good - well organized with concise explanations. However, the book was sent to me in a non-watertight mailer that was thrown onto my wet lawn.

  • As an adult learner I wanted a small book with the essential verbs. I have traveled to 33 counties and I think I could have done fine with only 50 verbs for street survival but this was definitely better for me than the ol' traditional 500 verbs most college students are forced to acquire. By adding key words in the inside leaves the is a fine book to actually carry about the streets in French speaking foreign lands. This is super for dealing with the irregular verbs!

  • A bit too brief for an intensive reading course. Well organized and helpful, but you may want to go for the larger variety if you are looking for more than French 1 or 2 level. For what it is, though, it is quite good.

  • There's another review stating that the text can only be read with a magnifier, which is not true. It is quite small text, but unless your vision is awful than you shouldn't have much of a problem reading it. It's pretty good quality, and has a lot of verbs to study.

  • This book was so helpful. It has plenty of sentences in it to help in formatting your verbs.

  • Content is great but the print is too small to read without a magnifier. I read paperbacks all the time, but can't handle this one.

  • Excellent source. Great for conjugating French verbs. Tons of verbs, small convenient book.

  • Good one to make your students buy.

  • Excellent resource for my high school student in her French class. Her teacher even found it acceptable and a very helpful addition.
