The Adventures in Japanese, Volume 1 workbook contains reading and writing exercises that correspond to the lessons in the Volume 1 textbook, and listening exercises from the Adventures in Japanese, Volume 1 audio CDs. Anime-inspired illustrations and age-appropriate topics make learning effective and fun. Upon completing the exercises in this workbook, students will be able to recognize and write hiragana and katakana, 17 basic kanji, and talk about themselves (family, daily routines, hobbies, school) at a basic level. This workbook is compatible with the third-edition textbooks.
  • Great workbook. Combine the textbook, the workbook, and the audio and it's very easy to learn.

  • I thought this pill case would be comparable to the one I bought at Walgreens, but it broke before I even put in the first pills. One cover broke off immediately, so I was going to tape it back on, but another one won't snap closed. This item was a waste of money and cannot be returned.

  • It's good and I'm glad I got it, but you need a CD in order to do the lessons and it has no answer key to do the workbook on your own.

  • great quality

  • Ordered this for my daughter, as she's studying Japanese in school. A perfect course-refresher for the summer break. Arrived quickly.

  • This book is pretty good to learn Japanese with. You definitely want to get some audio from another source or purchase the audio CDs (I have not tried those). As well, I got the accompanying workbook. Do not get it unless you have some instructions or the lab CDs of some kind. You could still work with it, but there are pages that ask you to write based on what you hear. So overall, book makes it simplistic to learn Japanese and ease into the alphabets, but be sure to get another source for audio learning.

  • My daughter used this for her high school Japanese class. We purchased it so she can keep up with her Japanese, and I'm now learning as well. It looks like a great textbook and I'll be using it soon.

  • It came a little late, but the product was great. No marks and pretty new. Very sartisfying!
