  • As one of 4 Review books I used to prepare for my NCLEX-RN exam, this was probably one of the top 2. I liked that there were quick answers & answers with rationals. I first checked my answers quickly, & then read the rationals to the questions I got incorrect. The only real complaint is that, I did have to go to the pages with the answers. One of the things that made my #1 get that spot was that the answers were right there on the same page as the questions, no searching. However, the questions in Exam cram were very good & very close to what I encountered in the actual exam. I took the cheat sheet along to the test site, but to be honest, I was too nervous to look at it. But I still passed on the first attempt, & with only 75 questions!!!!!!!!!

  • This was a resource that I found several students who were successful in passing the NCLEX used. Remember that with each chapter (5 chapters 250 questions each) you have to get 77% or above and if you don't retake the test until you do. Exam Cram has hard questions with great rationales, a CD that mimicks the CAT style used on the NCLEX, an appendix with a listing of websites to help you find out more information about content areas that you're weak in (cardiac, endocrine etc.) and finally...a tear-out sheet that has some bullet points on it to review on the day of your exam. This became one of my favorite books to study the NCLEX with. Just keep in mind that the questions in the book and on the CD are the same. You get 1250 questions total.

The actual NCLEX is easier than the questions used in this book/CD. I used this along with Saunders, NCLEX Questions & Answers Made Incredibly Easy, Kaplan , PD&A (Priority, Delegation & Assignment)by LaCharity to study. When I took the NCLEX, I had lots of meds, SATA, priority/delegation and absolutely no meds. Good luck to you all!

  • This book is a great choice for preparing the RN licensure. Excellent study book for NCLEX, especially the $price$. Same information as well in the newer editions:)

  • This is a concise overview - to the point, covering the major topics. Well put together, and has helpful questions at the end of each chapter with explanations. CD is good, though wish there were more questions available. Excellent starter book. Other NCLEX review books were quite overwhelming in the minute detail they provided. This book has the important points, the meat of the topics. Easy to read and quick to get through.

I'd recommend to use this book and purchase another CD of questions, such as Saunders.

  • My friends and I all swore by this book during our studying. It's nice and to-the-point. It's easy to get through and the questions are very good practice. All of us have used this book and we've all passed. None of the other NCLEX books we invested in were near as good a help as this one. Definitely worth the money, I'll be recommending this one to every nursing student I know!

  • I have written the editor. The book has many typos and had errors in the rationale section of the first question set. I have not even looked at the other question sets. I would not recommend this book when there are others better. It does have a very nice insert of info that candidates should know inside the front cover. I did not even look at the disk.

  • Every nurse needs this
