  • a Classic book, for the surgical rotation, neatly arranged, useful and packed with all the hands on essential info to help medical students and first year residents
a very concise review with no didactic mentally exhaustive buzz boxes that keeps one confused after reading whether he should do it or not ( sort of its my way or the high way) which is useful early on to establish the foundation and later on u can add all the argumentative state of the art articles.

that is a hit and run handbook, gives the basic knowledge in a clear way and does not address the pathophysiology or the various modalities of treatment, so it might be inappropriate for test preparation, it was not intended for that in the first place, so it is a very nice handbook whose authors did not forget about this fact while writing it.

  • Outdated in few topics. Doesn't give the information you would want on a surgical rotation for instance diverticulitis is a very small topic that doesn't even cover the Henchy classification. I returned this book and used Sabiston's and case files for Surgery.

  • Not as useful for the surgical rotation I was lead to believe. No anatomy diagrams, only descriptions, and too big to really fit in a white coat pocket. Get the pocket medicine for surgery and you'll be much happier.

  • Clear and concise. Well organized material.

  • Got the book as is described and i like it.....i am satisfied

  • Easy read, good outline for quick reference that hits all the key surgical points

  • great

  • Excellent review book for the wards, well organized without too many unnecessary details. Highly rercommended.
