A systemic approach to clinical anatomy with a high picture-to-text ratio. Learning occurs through conceptual diagrams, ridiculous associations, and a strong focus on clinical relevance. Excellent Board review.
  • This book was recommended by my A&P professor. I since have found VERY helpful ways to memorize everything from cranial nerves to lumbar vertebra. LOVE. (I bought used for $5-ish)

  • Great book, very easy to read. I wish I had it years ago.

  • Very precise but accurate ! Love it for the best quick review . High yield material

  • easy to understand

  • When I was in medical school, this book was instrumental in helping me pass and even excel in my Gross Anatomy class. The tips and mnemonics the author gives helped me remember my anatomy much easier than plain rote memorization. The illustrations are fun and memorable, as well. Overall, the book is a hoot and a great help in the first big class in medical school.

I highly recommend that readers combine this book with the bible of gross anatomy, Netter's Atlas of Human Anatomy: with Student Consult Access, 5e (Netter Basic Science). Netter is a genius and his atlas is something I refer to, even while in practice.

  • I am a first year med student and have found this book plus my anatomy coloring book far more useful than the other thicker books they made us buy. Everything is explained clearly and mnomics (sp?) are used whenever possible. It might seem too "silly" to some people but I found the memory aids very useful. The sillier it is the more you remember.
