Flash cards to accompany the granddaddy of all Chinese textbooks: Elementary Chinese Reader. Get them while they're still available. Over 1,300 cards included, with the Chinese character, pinyin, stroke order, and vocabulary.
  • My set of used cards came in alphabetical order but not sure if it was the original order. All cards are numbered but the numbers do not follow the alphabetical order. May have something to do with the original textbook. Cards are not glossy but handle quite well though not super sturdy. Each card is about 2 x 2.5 inches and the main characters are very large on the main side and quite small on the backside. Front side has radicals and the traditional version--both very small. Stroke order is given by tiny white numbers imposed on each black stroke of the main character. Characters are kind of a faded black. I might blacken mine in because they are distracting to me. The font is more like a handwritten character than a boxy sign version. Back side gives English meaning and pinyin. Often there are a few to several words that the character helps form on the back rather than just one "meaning". I only received mine today but think they will be helpful. There are a lot to organize in some fashion and they are tight in box.

  • Older cards, but hard to find sets of this many cards. Cards are mostly simplified chinese. Worth having.

  • All cards included in an unused set of very difficult cards to find! Prompt and correct description of contents.
