  • This is a good guide for general guidance, but not for grammar geeks. It will be best received by elementary and high school students, as well as those who just don't want to look ignorant. The title says it all. (Minor Kindle note: Some pages are unreadable in landscape mode but are fine in portrait mode. This is probably due to the frequent tables, cartoons and special characters.)

  • I'm only at 10% and see typos--in the section on verbs, the example for the present perfect tense is "I have dance." The example for the future perfect tense is "I will have dance." Did someone proofread the book?

  • I've taught English for over 45 years, and this is one of the best books available. Its simple, easy-to-understand tips provide the tools that take the mysteries out of the mastery of basic grammar. The authors' use of the Calvin and Hobbes' cartoons even make it a delightful read. English teachers would do well to incorporate this tool in their libraries.

  • I LOVE grammar! Ok, I may be a dork ... but this book makes it fun. It is written in a very clear, simple way -- easy to find what you're wondering about and easy to read. I bought 3 copies -- one for me, and one each for my two adult kids. They tease me about always correcting people's grammar but I want them to know the correct usage!! I would recommend this book to anyone interested in proper grammar!

  • It is a great refresher. Has easy to find and follow information.

  • Simple to read and with practical tips and explanations. It's one of those books to read a short section each day and then start over again. Your grammar will improve. Love it.

  • Thin book with grammar rules presented in a funny and fun way. All of us English teachers can enjoy this, and maybe some students will too.

  • Not to hot. Can't use it.
