  • It's a short book and about half of it is the forward and introduction, which is by TWO DIFFERENT PEOPLE. Then Govinda talks about Meditation and it's significance in the East & West. A few quotes from Siddhartha sprinkled in and there ya go, end of the book.

    Don't waste your money. "Foundations Of Tibetan Mysticism:, and "Way Of The White Clouds" are way better. None of his teachings are lost. It's just a gimmick to get you to buy this book, which mainly consists of two other authors!

  • What i was looking for! A++

  • Great teachings from a western master, not easily found. A true depth of understanding of the Buddha dharma with
    wonderful explanations.

  • Govinda is a master of Eastern Thought....and practice. His teachings were and are never lost. Each word is as sweet and gentle as the summer rain.

  • Very pleased with purchase.

  • interesting, fascinating, and not easy to put down once you start. Evocative journey leads you into a world that is sadly lost

  • A nice supplementsal collection, although his own books are more in depth. I bought it because his book on I Ching is out of print and there is an excerpt from it in here. Some nice lectures of his too. Worth getting for those interested in Buddhism.Also a nice short bio of him is included.
