This is the book that turns frightened patients into empowered self-healers. "To Life: A Guide to Finding Your Path Back to Health," tells the stories of people with so-called "incurable" diseases -- including cancer, diabetes, AIDS, heart disease and multiple sclerosis -- who learned how to cure themselves. By explaining the specific methods they used to return to full and healthy lives, it provides you with the tools to accomplish the same thing. The book also explains why our predominant medical system doesn't know how to cure chronic illness.
  • This book is charming & written with sensitivity and humor. Great short stories about healings taken on or forced upon many courageous relentless souls. I learned a lot about home remedies, the power of thought and inspired by the compolation of writtings. Sweet Sweet thank you Teresa. You should be pround of this

  • I didn't go looking for this book. I actually found it as I was walking to my local post office and I paid attention. The universe has a way of getting messages to us in the most unexpected ways.

As a person who is a self-healer, a transformational entrepreneur and an advocate of self-healing, I found the messages clear and uncompromising in the face of a complicated health system that is not really about health. The author has conviction and knowledge, with facts and science to backup her statements, and just enough anecdotal information to keep the reader from putting the book down.

This is an inspiring book on the courage to take responsibility for our own health, even in the face of a death sentence from conventional medicine and how it can lead to self empowerment and a long, healthy life.

  • It's about time someone told the stories of people who are curing multiple sclerosis and lupus and diabetes and colitis and candidiasis and cancer -- and the story of why most of us don't know about these cures.
The stories in the first section of the book -- stories about how people got sick and scared and prepared to die or spend the rest of their lives debilitated -- are heart-wrenching. The stories in the third section - stories about what those people did to cure themselves - are inspiring with lots of good detail about things you might want to try.
But the real meat of the book is the second section, which explains why doctors are unable to cure chronic illness. This is the section that convinces you to look for answers outside the doctor's office.
I always had a vague notion that there was something wrong with our medical system. This book explains how social and economic influences made it so that our doctors don't have the knowledge or the tools to heal diseases. That's why they call them "incurable" or "chronic." But they're really not incurable, and they don't need to be chronic.
The author doesn't make healing easy for us. She doesn't promise a quick fix. But she does show how, if we're willing to put in the time and effort, we can resolve our health problems - how we can do it without drugs or surgery - even if our doctors say there are no other options.

  • This is a very thought provoking book and struck a cord with me. The author challenges us to rethink our approach to personal health management. Having recently experienced the loss of a family member to the side effects of hormone replacement therapy I strongly advocate for natural methods of treatment for our health issues. The focus of the book is chronic illnesses but the information certainly applies to all levels of health. This book is not a slam against modern medicine but suggests the reader expand their perspectives to include a world-view of medical knowledge that has been proven over time. I highly recommend this book for anyone who cares about their health.
