Loving Rick Harper's children has been the only thing Cherie Gilbert has thought about for the past three years. Oh yeah, she thought about their sexy father as well. Will a misunderstanding - a misheard conversation - ruin their chance at love. Cherie's willing to walk away from the love of her life. Rick's job is to convince her to stay.
  • PLOT: After being nanny to Rick's children for years, Cherie is leaving. After overhearing a conversation with he has with his friends saying he'd like to fire her, Cherie has had enough. She's loved him for a while and she knows he's not immune to her. She feels it's time to move on with her life.

PROS: There is the sense that Cherie and Rick love each other. They've known each other for years. It is well written.

CONS: The story is simply too short to develop properly. They spend a night together and the next day the story is over. Rick never even explains his comments to Cherie. The love scenes feel interrupted. They begin to make love and then we move on.

3 STARS: There's not enough conversation in the present here. Time is wasted on a flashback to explain how Cherie got her job as nanny. That's nice but only if there's going to be more time put in on development of the present and future. Really good story idea. This could be really good as a full length novel. This is just an OK read. Borrow it from a friend or library if you're interested and you will be less likely to be disappointed.

  • Wish storyline was more detailed on the three years of her time spent with them as the nanny. Also, she never did let him explain himself. For a short story it has potential.

  • I truly loved Cherie and Rick! The author took what could have been a totally cliched story and made it beautiful. I don't know how many times I sighed out loud (if judged by my co-worker's inquiring looks it was a lot lol). It was truly sweet. The way that Cherie had become a mom to Rick's children, slowly falling in love with their father too. Rick seeing Cherie become a mother to his children and falling in love with her even more than he already had. ::sigh:: see there I go again!

And while the whole story had a very sweet, loving, family overtone it was definitely scorching in all the right places.

I know, I know...the whole nanny/Dad thing has been done before. But I have to say I have never read one of those stories that has been written as well as this one was! If you think that you are over and done with this type of story, do not give up on it until you read Stay!

  • Cherie was looking for a job. Well she went to a temp agencies. They had one it was to be a Nanny. Well she loves kids so it would work for her. well she went to the interview. Cherie met with the dad (Rick) and the two kids. Rick had a set of twins which was a boy and girl. Well she got the job after Rick seen how well his kids did with her. The only reason why Rick need a nanny was because his wife die when she was giving birth to the twins.
Now the question to thinking about while reading.
Dose anything go on between anyone?
    How dose everything work out?

Just to let you know it is a book you would want to read it is good.

  • I liked how Cherie takes a job as a nanny of twins and how she fells for their dad, Rick, but I do not like that in the beginning of the book Cherie starts her new job as the kids' nanny. Then, a few years passes by. Both Cherie and Rick are comfortable with one another. I wanted to see what happened with the in between. This was definitely a short fast read with some emotions.
    ☆☆☆☆
I give this book 4 out of 5 stars.

  • Great short, romantic story. This is a very quick read with a great storyline that can be done during a break at work, kids’ naptime, light evening read before bed, etc. Yes, this is a very short story so, no, there is no real time to go into great detail and in-depth character development, but what we do get gives us a great understanding of the love they have for each other and the kids. This would be a great story for the author to re-visit and make a full length novel if she so desired.

  • Cherie told her recruiting agency that she's willing to take a job anywhere because she just needs to get some experience. So when widowed father Rick is looking for a nanny for his twin kids, she jumps at the opportunity. But can the two keep their relationship professional or will feelings come into the mix? How will the kids handle it? I enjoyed the story but wish it were longer.

  • This is a Great Story! I liked the entire plot and storyline of this short story. It is all about how the nanny (Cherie, I think) falls in love with the father of her charges. The attraction is there from the beginning, but it takes a while to grow. It's okay that it's short, I like short stories. For me, this was a really good read - short, sweet, sexy, and really good. For me, that's what matters.
