  • I have really been enjoying Jessica Anderson's Nightkeeper series and love seeing the group of warrior/mages descended from Mayans find love as they try to stave off demonic forces and keep those evil beings (both human and supernatural) from bringing about the prophesied 2012 end time.

Anderson again brings her impressive amount of research and detail about all things Mayan to bear as we finally get the story of the geeky and formerly possessed Lucius. I have felt sorry for Lucius in the past books and was happy to get his story. Demonkeepers starts with Nightkeeper librarian, Jade, deciding to 'take one for the team'. Jade hopes that sex with Lucius will be the key to unlock Lucius' ability to find 'the Library' and to gain access to the information necessary for the Nightkeepers to fight their enemies and save the world.

since the last book, Lucius has undergone a metamorphosis. No longer is he the gangly intellectual, Lucius' time with the demon has triggered a change in his body (he's now totally hunk worthy) and brought a dangerous edge to his attitude. But behind the dangerous exterior still lies the scrawny nerdy teen who was a disappointment to his brawny athletic family. Jade has her own feelings of unworthiness to deal with, since her Nightkeeper powers haven't manifested yet. With those insecurities in common pair are quite perfect together and their chemistry is good, the real trick is getting over the baggage from their last attempt at a relationship- Jade just wanted to be bed buddies and Lucius was the type to lead with his heart.

I really likes Demonkeepers, I really liked Lucius and was happy to see that despite the new packaging and how tough he starts out with Jade, the core of what made him appealing is still intact. And I still liked all of the Mayan mythology that flavors this series and I thought that the background story to save 'the sun' was good, even though with all the build-up of the fate-of-the-world-hanging-in-the-balance the actual resolution to this was awfully quick and easy.

  • I greatly enjoyed this book of The Final Prophecy series by Jessica Andersen. I like getting to know the characters & learn more about them prior to the "now time". Even beyond the book in which a couple has been featured, you still learn bits & pieces about them in subsequent ones!! That's the biggest reason I am so caught up in this series. I've really enjoyed "watching" Rabbit grow up!!

  • The Nightkeepers Final Prophecy series by Jessica Anderson is an action packed series about the Mayan end time. Great story lines, wonderfully flawed heroes and heroines who work hard to get it together and find their loves and their places in the realm of the Nightkeepers! Well done!

  • A continuing saga on the Mayan prophecy. These books do need to be read in order otherwise you'll read things that might make you wonder. Fast paced, some hot and steamy scenes but not as many as some. Exciting for all 'fantasy/sci-fi' readers with both female and male characters who are strong and efficent. Loved all of them.

  • Excellent story line, as always! Couldn't put it down at times! Very personable characters in these stories,it's vert easy to lose yourself in the story!

  • this is an amazing easy to read series

  • Could not put my kindle down! I finished this book in under a week! Love the adventures tied in with the love story!

  • Book was in very good condition. This book is part of an excellent series that has mystery, action, love, passion and more. Loved it.
