  • Great book! I also have the Reader's Digest Book of North American Birds, and together these make an unbeatable combination. I haven't
yet seen a bird that I wasn't able to identify in one book and confirm in the other book. I find the charts showing summer, winter, and year-
around habitat/range to be especially helpful.

  • "Wow" ! Is my answer to looking inside every page of this "folio" large edition of every North American bird. Puts you right in the moment when you saw any particular wild bird and brings back the memory of that fun and beautiful moment! Plus the large pages and beauty of the hundreds of other wild bird paintings of birds we may not have seen as yet and maybe never will. But here they are !! So stunning and a pleasure to have a cup of coffee and just look at color plates, "large" page plates beautifully painted of our beloved wild north american birds. Enjoy. You WILL NOT be disappointed. And text along with each color page plate.... also awesome! Thank you for your trust and time ! John Ludwig (Bayonne, New Jersey)
