My sister ordered this book for me when my husband and I lost our newborn son 11 hours after birth on March 16, 2009. We were at such a loss and it seemed like we weren't going to get through this trying time in our lives. During my weakest moments, I reached for this book and began to read it. It touched my life in so many ways and it helped to know I wasn't alone when dealing with baby loss. One of my friends from high school lost her daughter years before I suffered my own loss and she struggles to this day with it. So I ordered this book for her hoping that it would encourage and strengthen her like it did for me.

This book was gifted to me after I miscarried my daughter Zoe. The book was invaluable tool for me as I grieved the loss of my baby. The author is vulnerable about her experiences and I was able to identify with her which helped me not feel so alone especially as it gave me Hope for the future. The book is written very simply,with personal touches as well as Bible verses that lift some of the pain and suffering away from the heart. Waltman's intermingling of her own journalling, bible verses, and followup "letters" to the reader are woven together beautifully to create a warm, comforting experience while reading. A must-read for anyone who must walk this painful journey.
