On investigation the author was found to be one Cyril Henry Hoskin (1910–1981), the son of a British plumber, who claimed that his body was occupied by the spirit of a Tibetan monk named Tuesday Lobsang Rampa. The book is considered a hoax.

If one doesn't know how to say hello to themselves with amusement, ground from the 1st chakra , run earth and cosmic energy (basics- of doing this work) they likley have no clue how to handle a growth period which is a big shift in consciousness for the body and spirit. Expanding awareness, and giving Tools to build enough consciousness in the body (to take with you after death) is key, By meditating and running energy , using some of these tools is a start

I purchased this book seeking information, inspiration and methodologies that would address the objective stated on the cover. I found almost nothing within the pages to meet these expectations; the writing itself felt to me, bland.

The "3rd Eye" is not a hoax! But as I've discovered lately how people kept looking for shortcuts and/or excercises to opening this mythical "3rd Eye", I really wanted to share my own experiences hoping to clarify something for someone. Please do not take this as an attempt from me using recontructive criticism.

Many of these teachings are found in your own religion's teaching as it pertain to your everyday life. Your ability to be a "good" human being, a good "soul" is the prerequisite for opening that "3rd Eye". If you're always hating (discrimating, hating your neighbors, hating this religion, that religion, etc..), greeds, and lust; you've got to start there.

I can't go into too much details since this is not a book I'm trying to put together. Opening the "3rd Eye" is your ability to be "pure" in your heart and soul. It's the balanced of positives and the negatives or reuniting that two energies. We don't need anyone to tell us what the negatives are do we? This is a reason why people meditate (ask the Tibet greats). Meditate to a level where your mind is "pure". My filthy mind didn't happen over night so I completely don't expect to "pure" it over night.

Also, the closer and closer you are to your goal, the more tests and temptations you'll will encounter so be ready and be strong.

I thought that this book was very well written. It is easy to understand and not too complicated for the average person. I would really recommend this book and you will see and feel a difference in your life.

Vessa really makes it easy to understand the subtle forces of spirit and energy as they affect our ever day lives. Easy enough for a beginner to understand and engaging enough for the accomplished psychic. Vessa's book can reveal answers long awaited for.

Basically I was expecting specifics excersises on how to open the third eye. I am very far away from the author's School so I really depend on books for many of the things I learn and how to do them.
