I've read this book a few times, but most recently listened to the audio read by Stuart Wilde.

I've read this book a few times, but most recently listened to the audio read by Stuart Wilde. While some of the 33 steps are common ideas found elsewhere in other philosophies (Step 13 Acceptance/ Step 14 Judge Nothing) Mr. Wilde is a completely original thinker and this isn't your average new age book. What I liked: Each step is quite simple to understand yet it is very in depth as a whole. I really enjoyed the audio read by the author, he is genuinely funny!

The idea of the Infinite Self is beautiful, but it’s hard for the ego and the personality to grasp. Twenty-five thousand people were attracted to my spiritual teacher over the few years that he taught, and at each level of progress, the teachings and disciplines got harder and harder.

  • Others have described the content - mind opening, WITH immediately implementable exercises which effectively drive the concepts home. I changed how I look at things, & how things affect me intellectually & emotionally solely because of this book -& I am better & more at peace with the continuum of life/death because of it.
It's one of the few books where the audio book may actually outshine the written word. His delivery & tone add markedly to the material, yet the book does stand admirably on its own. I suspect that the book was created from lectures presented. That situation can produce rough copy, but this book does not suffer that fate. Both audio & written book present a series of chapters/modules which often provide specific practical tasks to be performed, with admonishment to return next time (& refreshing admonishment in the first chapter to commit to the book entire else don't bother!).
I have the material on Kindle, phone (Kindle & Audible) & hardcopy. It's a remarkable work.

  • I stumbled on Stuart Wilde by accident. I was looking around on youtube one day and found this whacked out old brit narrating his books. I listened to a few and found myself hooked. I bought a couple of his books on kindle, but find I crave them in paper. The old habit of underlining, margin notes and highlighting, come back to me when I read Stuart's books. His conversational writing style is an easy read. His philosophy is the Best! Don't miss out on a little bit different insight on the world as we know it.

  • in the infinite self and how to let ego go and recognize life around you. Stuart Wilde is an angel sent from the god force to show us how much easier it is to be in that force without forcing anything. his wisdom is unparalleled and he gives us treasures in ourselves in such uncomplicated and harmonious comprehension. Thank you Stuart Wilde for the effortless joy and connection to the spirit inside us all

  • I love this book, a lots of basic information on how to expand the energy in this 3 D reality. it’s a great guide to spiritual world. After I listened to this book on YouTube, I decided to purchase it to keep on my side,,

  • It delivered. But I can't see how any of these books can deliver enlightenment. Your sub conscious needs to want it more than it wants your ego. There is a lot of truth in this book and your ego will use it to keep you asleep, unless you are ready. From my readings 99.9999% of us will continue sleeping well after this life. ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

  • This is the book I have given most often to my closest friends, which is probably a good indicator of how valuable I estimate this book's ability to grace another with understanding, meaning, and in growing an effective paradigm for navigating this thing called life. It's also probably the single book I've reread most often in my lifetime of seeking insights into the nature of our purpose and the nature of our consciousness. The title Infinite Self is somewhat misleading as it is not about selfishness or self-absorption, but rather about the kind of self-realization that leads to our personal contribution to the stream of humanity. This is really is deep and transformative book, and I would suggest it as the pinnacle of Wilde's best work.

  • I'm on my second reading so I can absorb more of this delightful book. I was so sorry to hear he isn't with us anymore, but after reading his book, I guess he kind of is. I've never laughed so much while gaining such insightful knowledge. I'll probably be reading this one many, many times.

  • Amazing book, excellent read once you get past his quirky humor and some of his jargon. The meat of this book is worth your time.
