  • I got this book as a gift when I was about six years old and have kept it for twenty years. I can see why an adult wouldn't find this book wonderful as adults lack the imagination of a child. Kids don't need extravagant pictures and explanation to understand a book (I'm by no means implying illustrated books are bad).
I know some may find this pointless since the etiquette lessons are not detailed enough. But kids want to read stories, not instructions. The etiquette tips are indeed short, I'm not denying that, but what kid wants to hear about where silverware is placed on a table and why it's so important? Hint: none.
I can't promise that every child will love this book, but it's certainly worth a few bucks.
    I recommend it %100.

  • Loved this book as a child, and love it today. My family copy was lost while moving. Great to have it again. Hoping my son with love it as much as I do. So far reading it to him has peaked his interest. Sure it might not be detailed boring manners but it teaches the basics while keeping you reading throughout.

  • Gave as a gift! It was well liked!!

  • I thought the book would be a story where pooh learned about manners, like excusing your self before you leave the dinner table, but it's not. On one page there is one to two etiquette tips about two sentences long. On the next page there is a quick little skit with pooh and his friends, that in my opinion could have been written a little better to explain the tip on the opposite page.

  • I bought this book when it was first published and I still have it. Love it to bits. I was 'reared' on Pooh Bear and my love for him and his friends will never change, even though I am now 74 years young. I recently got a copy for another Pooh Bear nut when I found out she felt the same, and I know she will love the book. Over the years, I have dipped into the book countless times and I never get tired of reading his thoughts. Brings a cheshire cat smile to my face every time.

  • My friend enjoyed this book. The illustrations are delightful and the information is useful in everyday life.

  • This is such a cute boo!

  • Always love Classic Pooh---great teaching tool as well.
