PAUL MARTIN LESTER is Professor of Communications at California State University, Fullerton. As a consequence, media stereotypes play a significant role in the social disintegration that produces hatred, violence, and misunderstanding. He co-authors the monthly column Ethics Matters for News Photographer, the journal of the National Press Photographers Association. He has given keynote speeches, presentations, and workshops throughout the United States and in Australia, Canada, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, and the Netherlands.

Paul Martin Lester (born March 21, 1953) is a Clinical Professor at the School of Arts, Technology, and Emerging Communication (ATEC) and a Professor Emeritus from California State University, Fullerton. Lester was born in Flushing, Queens. After an undergraduate degree in journalism from the University of Texas at Austin and employment as a photojournalist for The Times-Picayune in New Orleans, he received a Master's from the University of Minnesota and a P. from Indiana University in mass communications.
