  • I had a previous edition of this book and never got it back after lending it to a friend. My husband bought me this for Christmas, and I'm thrilled! First off, this is an excellent book. One of the top stories of Robin Hood that takes him from a child to an old man. The illustrations are beautiful. Secondly, though, this edition is gorgeous. The hardback cover has a rich texture, and the letters gleam. I'm seriously thinking about purchasing the other books published along with this one, just because they're so so pretty.

  • All who enjoy the stories of Robin will most likely find appreciation for this older style of story telling with some smaller details that don't get mentioned by other authors

  • Probably one of the truest books about the 12th century hero. The fact that Much the Miller was a character I had never heard of before in any of the Robin Hood books or movies I've seen to date. Very few of the movies even mention the early death of our hooded hero. This is the first Robin Hood book I have read (outside of the Classic Comic) and I'm determined to read some of the other books, of which there are many, about this British icon.

  • Good used condition, as advertised. I chose this edition for the Wyeth art work - beautiful!

  • I forgot so many of the details of this story, and was thrilled to read this account of Robin Hood. I totally enjoyed the cat-and-mouse games he played with the Sheriff of Nottingham, and the wonderful camaraderie of the men of Sherwood Forest. Great story, well written. (Forgive the sections where the book page appears in the middle of sentences - it's not that annoying and does not slow down the narrative.)

  • Thanks.

  • You can't go wrong with the classics, and I love being able to take them with me in digital format.

  • Thorough but simple telling of the mythical story with all the characters that have been portrayed on the screen and television, with the evil Sheriff of N. And the emergence of Richard I (Lionhearted) to save the day at the end.
