  • This review is for the Warner Books paperback edition reissued in June 2005, 363 pages of story. TELL ME YOUR DREAMS was on the USA Today top 150 best sellers list for 26 weeks between September 1998 and October 1999, reaching a peak position of number five.

Three lovely young ladies who work for Global Computer Graphics in Silicon Valley are implicated in the brutal murder and mutilation of five more or less nice men. Although perplexing, the evidence against them seems irrefutable and by the time the case goes to trial we know who done it, but not until the story is nearly finished will we understand why.

TELL ME YOUR DREAMS has cops, detectives, lawyers and doctors, but it does not dwell on police procedure, sleuthing, legalize or medical practice. Set in California, it touches on Quebec, London and Rome but with the slimmest of description. This is a simple, easy, forgettable read.

  • I reluctantly gave the book three stars, and actually the three stars is for the first one hundred pages, which were exciting and tension- filled, though I suspected what was going on long before it was revealed. But the story moved along at breakneck speed, which is my kind of book. And the subject matter has been much publicized and talked about in newspapers, magazines and talk shows. Nonetheless, the book's cover would tell the most clueless reader what the book was about.Sadly, there was zero character development with the main character Ashley, and considering she had endured something so heinous, it would have been intriguing to find out what her school years had been like, and if family members suspected what was happening to her.Ashley's defense attorney, and the judge were somewhat developed, though there was nothing fresh about a stalwart lawyer or a hard-assed judge.I wish Sheldon would give hisreaders an explicit sense of time and presence. For me, there was no sense of thereness. Throughout the book, scenes took place and I felt like Ashley, I didn't know where I was. No attention was given to minor details that enhance a story--how did rooms look, what kinds of clothes did characters wear? Colors. Sheldon always writes a fast-paced, spell-binding tale and I believe that can be maintained without sacrificing, rich characterizations and setting.

  • One good book...hard to put it down...expect surprises!

  • I like most of Sidney Sheldon's novels, but this one was easy to predict the storyline and a bit unrealistic regarding the numerous, repetitive sexual encounters she had. Would not recommend to other Sheldon fans, but gave it an extra star for attempting to discuss mental illness (not the most popular topic).

  • I have enjoyed reading this book very much with the different dimensions of the characters and how it all comes together. A fantastic read

  • What an insight into split personalities. I liked the fact that at the end of the book there was an insight into split personalities.

  • Good story line.

  • I love sidney sheldon and happy to get the books i dont .
