  • Brad Newsham, a San Francisco Cab driver as of 2010 (no word of him since) wrote this while separated from his first wife. He travels to Japan, China and Russia. Not quite a tourist, not quite a journalist. He climbs Mt Fuji and visits Hiroshima and fails to note how similar the bittersweet scenes are reflected in his own life. He does however bring to the reader full and heartfelt descriptions of the people he meets in Japan, China and Russia. It is his friend Bill who appears to have taught Brad how important it is to live in the present by "pushing it" and not regretting the past or fearing the future. It is too bad Newsham has written only two books. He has more to offer.

  • I have read both of Newsham's books, each gave me great inspiration to travel and to break free from the tourist mold and instead immerse myself in the culture and everyday lives of the people. All the Right Places, with Newsham's frequent mantra "I'm in all the right places doing all the right things" was also a great lesson about love, living life, and embracing what's around us. There is even a very touching romance story included. I loved this book and have recommended it to many friends.

  • Good

  • I really enjoyed this book a lot, since i have traveled extensively around the World, as the author has!!
