Mrs Winifred Margaret Coombe Tennant (1 November 1874 – 31 August 1956) was a British suffragist, Liberal politician, philanthropist, patron of the arts and spiritualist. She and her husband lived near Swansea in South Wales, where she became an enthusiastic proponent of Welsh cultural traditions. She was also known by the bardic name "Mam o'r Nedd".

This exhibition A Life Through Art will focus on Winifred Coombe Tennant's contribution. The exhibition, curated by art historian Peter Lord, brings together some 80 paintings. Through her son, who was killed in World War I, Coombe Tennant also go involved with the National Eisteddfod for which she was a member of the gorsedd becoming the robes mistress. She was a suffragette, a supporter of Welsh Prime Minister Lloyd George, a psychic medium and for a decade wore traditional Welsh costume every day. The book is based on her diaries and is written by author and art historian Peter Lord. Mr Lord told BBC Radio Wales Ms Tennant was an "extraordinary woman". This diary is a unique document from a difficult period," he said.
