  • Just like his brother Nelson and mother Abby, David Rockefeller was a great patron of the arts, especially modern art. And just like Nelson who used his position as Governor of New York to acquire and display modern art, David does the same as head of Chase for 2 decades. There were many artist names that I recognized, and I'd bet that most at one time or another had their art displayed in the MoMA, where the Rockefeller family provided leadership since its founding in the early 1930's. There was also a little bit of Americana and a smattering of ancient artifacts from Latin America where David had lots of experience through his banking career. David lead Chase for 2 decades. Chase was often called the "Rockefeller bank". Enjoy.

  • Amazing modern collection, great coffee table book.
