Charles Duits (1925-1991) was a French writer and surrealist known for his heroic fantasy saga novels Ptah Hotep and Nefer. He began his writing and philosophy work at the age of 17, after sending some of his poems to André Breton who then invited him to participate in the experiments of his surrealist group. At the urging of one of his oldest friends, Charles Duits took peyote like a man committing suicide, launching him on a journey of philosophical and spiritual revelation. In this little-known classic of drug literature, Duits offers a glimpse into the divine reality of which we are all a part, yet over which the structures of society cast a veil. Format: Mass Market Paperback. ISBN13: 9782207245965.

Charles Duits was a French writer of the fantastique. Ptah Hotep is the story of the ascension of a young prince to the throne of Caesar. Nefer, which takes place several centuries later, tells of the adventures of a young Egyptian priest who falls in love with a sacred prostitute. The supernatural, as featured discretely in the novels, reflects Duits spiritual "otherworld".
