True, horrifying facts about the grisly Cape Cod murders that shocked the nation. 16 pages of photographs, including many never seen outside the courtroom.
  • This was an extremely interesting take on a murderer from everyone's viewpoint in chronological order. This includes those murdered, the victims' families and friends, the police, lawyers and newspapers as well as the murderer and his family, friends, co-workers, etc. Everything was very well researched and discussed in great detail that kept the book moving right along with many surprises along the way.

  • I am obsessed with this story..good book!

  • I lived next door to this serial killer in Provincetown when I was a kid. The story came out in the news the summer we moved to Ohio, and it was quite a shock to think about being neighbors with this depraved man. I knew none of the victims. The town was forever affected. Such a tragic story.

  • Very rich in detail, although some of those details are repetitive.
The book itself deserves 5 stars, however, the copy I received did not have the original dust cover, therefore at thirty five dollars it was overpriced.

  • Reality of it is scary. Want to know what a murderer looks like? Your neighbors.

  • From the area so it was particularly interesting. Enjoyed but couldn't hang in for all the meticulous background with a sense where it was heading early on.

  • I remember the hubbub on The Cape at the time, as I grew up not far from Truro.
I knew the area and was familiar with many of the sites referred to in Tony's travels.
I was also familiar with the sites in Boston.
