This picture book by Marcel Marceau is really fascinating! The story as well as the author's hand-drawn illustrations stimulates your imagination. I first heard of Marcel Marceau when I was very young. My mother got me the book when I was about 8 or 9. The beautiful story and artwork of the book mesmerised me. With vibrant use of color and special painting techniques, I Fell in love with the book. An exellent story full of emotion and imagery. A great story overall and a very good book.

Marcel Marceau (French pronunciation: ; born Marcel Mangel; 22 March 1923 – 22 September 2007) was a French actor and mime artist most famous for his stage persona as "Bip the Clown". He referred to mime as the "art of silence" and he performed professionally worldwide for over 60 years. As a youth, he lived in hiding and worked with the French Resistance during most of World War II, giving his first major performance to 3000 troops after the liberation of Paris in August 1944.
