This study investigated how applicants’ racial identity is considered when Ontario’s initial teacher education programs select among applicants. This study investigated how applicants’ racial identity is considered when Ontario’s initial teacher education programs select among applicants. In 2012, ten of the twelve publicly-funded Faculties of Education offering one-year post-Bachelor’s degree programs considered racial identity in admission.
