The underground sanctuary has fallen, ravaged by famine and wa. ur hero’s life is now an uncertain one. He could either stay and fight to the death or venture into the unknown.

Everyone experiences rejection, but not everyone has to be damaged by its painful consequences. In this compassionate and spiritually insightful book, John Paul Jackson explains what happens when rejection rules our lives. He helps to identify weaknesses that reveal the many faces of rejection. Discover how to harness the power of rejection, find healing for the scars of the past, and break free from the cycle of self-defeating behaviors. In this book, you'll find insight that can dramatically improve your life and help you walk into the extraordinary quality of life God desires for you.
  • I was disappointed with the lack of guidance. Given the title of this book I expected the author to provide either examples from scripture or from his own life experiences, he does neither. He spends too much time discussing the symptoms and aftermath of rejection upon one's life. Individuals who have lived through the tragedy of rejection don't need an expanded analysis of what it looks like, they are seeking a "balm from Gilead" to bring about release and healing. The best the author has to offer as encouragement is to tell the reader to seek God and make petition of him from the wounds of rejection. I dare say many who have struggled with the pangs of rejection have been asking for release and a fuller life. I regret that I cannot recommend this book to others.

  • Immediately after the death of my mother, I was confronted once again with rejection I had felt for most of my life. This book led through dealing with all the emotions and feelings that were caused by rejection. I saw the similarities of what God was doing in my own life as compared to the steps John Paul discussed in the book which gave me the reassurance I needed.

  • There are so many great examples used from the author's life experience and also many from people in the bible that have dealt with the consequences of rejection. Some suffered even more because they didn't trust in God for healing and others learned from it and fulfilled God's destiny for them because they put their faith in God instead of their temporary circumstances. I highly recommend this book for anyone that wants healing for themselves or to be able to help point others to the Healer.

  • The author is candid about his own experiences with rejection and offers biblical help, as well as advice from other seasoned Christian authors. I found myself underlining so many passages that I may as well read the book over again!

  • As someone who has experienced the sting of rejection in many areas of life this book was so freeing. Even though I have seen tremendous breakthrough in my life with rejection, this book was such a healthy dose of freedom. It is short enough to take in one day if you set aside time to deal with rejection, or take it slow and let it marinate and take it piece by piece. I recommend this to anyone who has felt the pain of being overlooked, under appreciated, or just flat out rejected. John Paul will lead you to discover the root of it and the Holy Spirit will guide you to Jesus for the healing we need. What a wonderful companion this book is.

  • I would recommend this book to anyone struggling with rejection and it's effect. Very helpful and practical tools. Easy to read and understand.

  • I have lived almost all of my life wounded by rejection- this book as helped me to identify it and to take steps to move forward.

  • A bare-bones description of rejection in the lives of Biblical characters, including Jesus. Not an in-depth healing manual. Rather, the book contains thought-provoking questions to bring before the Lord in prayer, so the Holy Spirit can reveal self-serving behavior that perpetuates rejection in our lives.
