I recieved this in the mail a couple days ago after ordering from one of the booksellers that still have some old stock of this bible. It's unfortunate that it's not available any more as I find this a perfect size for carrying around and fairly easy to read with my 53 year old eyes and some cheapie reading glasses.

The book is bound well and lays flat when you lay it down so you don't have to worry about it closing up on you when you let it set. The attached ribbon marker also assists you in keeping track of where you left off.

The standard two-columns per page is familiar and welcoming for someone like myself that hasn't read the bible in a couple decades. And the NKJV translation is so much easier to read than the old-english style of a KJV bible, while retaining the meaning to the message quite well. I've tried NAS and NIV in the past, and although OK, those were hard to discern the same meaning when comparing normal KJV type quotes.

If I have anything negative to say about this particular bible, it's that the pages are pretty thin and show text from the backside somewhat, but yet not enought to distract or make it hard to read. The red text for the words of Christ have a slight "brownish" tint that some may call faded, but I though it made them fairly readable and contrasted well with the page.

To summarized, the book lies flat when you set it down open, the soft "Leathersoft" cover feels VERY nice in the hands when carrying it, and it's very easy to read from both a clarity of text and NKJV style point of view.

Finally, If you can land one of the remaining ones listed for anything under $50 I think it's a GREAT BUY!! But some who are charging near or over $100 must be under the influence of something as I'd certainly don't think it's worth that much and would look elsewhere and for something even better yet for that kind of cash.

This is a beautiful bible with a soft cover, gold lined pages, perfect print type and perfect size for home or bible study. I bought this as a gift for a friend and he loves it, as well as all of the people in his bible study who wanted to know where he got it. Needless to say, it was a present worth giving - in more ways than one!!!!!!!

I bought this bible because my church uses the KJV and I just don't understand the the "thee", "thou", etc. This is an excellent bible and so easy to read! It also lies flat for Sunday School.

I bought this Bible for my son who is unfortunetly in jail. He wanted his own Bible from home but of course they would not allow this so I went to Amazon.com and saw this. Of course not knowing what you are buying for sure, I prayed about it and this is the Bible that I decided on for him. He LOVES it. He said that the leather is so soft that you can bend the whole Bible in half and the large letters he said are awesome. Thank you Amazon.com
