Planet-X, Comets & Earth Changes by James M. McCanney Minneapolis, MN: jmccanneyscience. com press, 2007 (first published in 2002) 182 pp. A new model of the Universe. McCanney's first book in a series presenting his ideas, Planet-X, Comets & Earth Changes: A Scientific Treatise on the Effects of a New Large Planet or Comet Arriving in Our Solar System and Expected Earth Weather and Earth Changes, introduces his theoretical work on these topics. It's divided into thirteen short chapters describing the scientific concepts in layman's terms, followed by reprints of his original scientific papers published in the early 1980s.

A scientific treatise on the effects of a new large planet or comet arriving in our solar system and expected earth weather and earth changes. James M. McCanney, . This book is an essential addition to that series that already includes treatises on symbolism, calendar changes caused by man’s need to adopt to celestial events and our connections to the past through our correct interpretation of history.

If James McCanney's Plasma Discharge comet model turns out to be correct, he will take his place alongside Copernicus, Kepler, and Newton as one of the truly great figures in science. There is no way to incrementally go from the current dirty snowball comet model to McCanney's model. His represents a complete break with mainstream thinking. The elders warned that earth changes would soon begin. But I didn't understand what they were talking about until I encountered McCannney's work.

Planet-X, Comets & Earth Changes by James M. first published in 2002) 182 pp. And thanks to James McCanney's work over the last thirty-odd years, they find themselves plunged, in the words of Mullah Nasr Eddin, "into the deepest galoshes that have ever been worn on sweaty feet. James McCanney is something of a maverick in the scientific community. Having taught physics and mathematics at Cornell University, he was ousted because of pressure put on University authorities by professors in the astronomy department who didn't like what he was publishing.

The main book Planet X Comets and Earth Changes goes into great detail on this and other topics but cannot be repeated here (although many of the end results will be. contained in this pamphlet. the so called "Earth Changes"). received a sound classical physics training at St. Mary's University, receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree with a double major in physics and mathematics in 1970. He was offered full scholarship awards to three major US physics graduate schools to pursue his graduate physics studies.

Home McCanney, James M. Planet-X, Comets and Earth Changes. if the book fits in a priority envelope an adjustment will be made.

A scientific treatise on the effect of a new large planet or comet arriving in our solar system and expected earth weather and earth changes. Whether Today we are finding the remnants of ancient societies the world over, whith some thousands of feet under the ocean's surface. Huge cities existed in South America long before the so-called Ice Age or the alleged crossing of the Bering Strait by hearly hunting tribes. Recently, a mastodon that it was still standing on all fours with undigested tropical plants in its throat. Under two miles of Antacrctic Ice Cap lies the unfrozen Lake Vostok. What we are learning is that...the history that is being taught as some sectors of modern society to keep the truth of our real past from being told. Whether this is your first introduction or you are a veteran to this field this book contains one of the most compelex and far-reaching topics that you will ever encounter. Thousands of extremely talented scholars have spent thier entire careers researching in and around the subjects that are affect by the topics covered in this book. It affects every aspect of every discipline from astronomy and planetary geology to palentology and biological evolution, from the history of man and politics to the origins of religion. The key that this book offers is a time tested scientific framework that gives a firm direciton to understand our past, present and future. It is backed by a person who "has been there" and can stand up to the onslaughts of a room full of angry resentful astronauts and pompous NASA space scientists.
  • We know from archaeological ruins discovered all over the world that in the ancient, distant times, there were millions of people living in what can be considered to be an advanced civilization or other high-concentrated population centers. From time to time again, the people of the past had been experiencing cataclysmic events that very well may have destroyed their civilizations, and the "survivors" would go on to continue to endure new conditions and adjusted way of life. These survivors, with what little knowledge they had, began to record their histories and traumatic events in various mediums, such as cave paintings, oral poetry/mythologies, and even complex pyramids and structures. Back then, they were very aware and alert of what was happening in our nightly skies.

James McCanney's "Planet-X, Comets and Earth Changes" goes into details about a large celestial object, either a planet or a comet, arriving into our solar system and affecting the weathers and the native planetary changes. It also been stressed that an intruding celestial object does not need to come in a closest contact with Earth in order to affect dramatic "Earth Changes." In this book, McCanney theorized that the planet Venus was indeed a comet that came to our solar system, many centuries ago, affecting other planets, including Earth, in most devastating ways before establishing itself in orbit around the Sun. This same "comet" even devastated the "water planet" Mars by "sucking" all the waters, and "dumping" them onto Earth, which became known as a "Biblical Flood." This aspect of the book is what interests me the most.

The author's theory on Plasma Discharge is interesting, but I don't think it could be the "only" theory of what's been happening to the comets nowadays as not all comets operate in the same way. However, this theory could very well be true with what happened to Venus and Mars. I do agree with his discussions about NASA and the problems with scientific communities.

    Overall, it's an interesting reading.

  • super

  • Available via amazon USA. Enormously educational and readable

  • I would put this right up there with Earth in Upheaval, Ages in Chaos and Velikovsky's other writings. A truly outsanding book.

NOTE: I do not follow a woman who talks to aliens, nor do I believe the aliens who claimed Planet X would affect earth in 2003. Those are the views of the man who gave almost all of Mccanney's works 1 star ratings. That man is promoting the alien website. go ahead and check out the one star ratings.

Mccanney has his own site. Google it. All his radio shows are online for free. Listen and decide for yourself if it is truth or lies.

  • This book blew me away. I couldn't put it down.

A leap is required, and few astronomers so far have been willing or able to manage it. Both can't be correct. I have no way to prove it, but my gut tells me McCanney in the end will turn out to be right.

This is a must read for anyone interested in astronomy or the past history and the future of our small planet. I recall back in 1996 when Art Bell brought the Hopi elders on Coast to Coast Am radio to talk about the coming earth changes. At the time, the comet Hale-Bopp was streaking across our skies. The elders warned that earth changes would soon begin. But I didn't understand what they were talking about until I encountered McCannney's work. The answer is that the Hopi Indians have been here, on the N American continent, longer than anyone -- for maybe 20-30,000 years -- and they've seen the big and medium sized comets come and go numerous times, including the occasional ones that cause horrific earth changes. We haven't seen such a comet in modern history, but one visited earth at the close of the Pleistocene, at around 11,600 BP, and nearly destoyed our planet. The Hopis were around at the time, and they recognized Hale-Bopp. They say it's the herald -- the comet that previously anounced the approach of the dangerous intruder that wrought destruction to earth the last time, in a former age. The Hopi traditions go back before the dawn of our western history.

This book is not about the Hopis. But it provides the theoretical framework to explain all of this, and much more. McCanney is not a great writer. But his ideas are great, indeed, revolutionary, and they shine through. This is a key book that presents the missing piece of the puzzle, explaining so much about our world. Read it and you'll understand why McCanney is to the scientific establishment what Noam Chomsky is to the political establishment.

  • McCanney has a gift for making complex topics easy to understand and puts them in a perspective that the layman can comprehend. But be prepared for a subject that will shatter many illusions in today's science. McCanney picks up where Vellikovsky leaves off in his masterpiece "Worlds In Collision" and details the intricate workings of the electrical nature of the universe. This book also explains the problem with Big Science today, in that his theories aren't even up for discussion in the halls of NASA or any other major institutions. I highly recommend this book, and even if you can't accept the message, at least it will make you think. However be prepared for a sobering look on past Earth changes and the impact they had on our ancestors. I have to second the earlier comment made about getting the book from the source. Go to [...] to get it from the author so you know you are getting the real deal.
