There are two Math SAT Subject Tests: Math 1 and Math 2 (also written as Math Level 1 and Math Level 2, or Math I. .

There are two Math SAT Subject Tests: Math 1 and Math 2 (also written as Math Level 1 and Math Level 2, or Math I and Math II). Math 2 is meant for students with more high school math coursework and covers a broader range of topics than Math 1 does. Other than that, the two tests are pretty similar: both have 50 multiple-choice questions and a 60-minute time limit.

We don't have to tell you how tough SAT Math is-or how helpful a stellar exam score can be for your chances of getting into your top-choice college. Techniques That Actually Work.

Provides formulas, tips, strategies, and examples for acing the SAT II, and includes four full-length sample exams.
  • I ordered SAT Math Subject test book for this seller. The book was shipped very fast and came to me on time. The seller was very nice and easy to connect to. However, the book was written all-over and I do not remember reading about that in the description.

  • The book is pretty good, the test are harder than the actual. That is actually good for practice. Using this book will increase your scores.

  • Well, I just got back my Math 1 score from the June administration of the SAT Subject tests. I got a 730, which I think is a result of using this great book. It is a little unorganized, but everything you need is there if you'll read the entire book. Unlike other Princeton review books that cover two levels of tests (like the AP Calc AB & BC book), this one actually divides well between Level 1 and Level 2 materials. Overall, it had a great review of the material, with explanations of how to do the practice problems and not just the answers. The practice tests were more difficult than the actual exam. I got a 650 on one and a 660 on the second one, despite the fact I got a 730 on the real SAT test. It's much better than the Sparknotes Math 1 book, which I also used to review. I basically got 800s on their tests because you could recognize how to do all the problems from practice problems in the book. One test didn't vary much from the next. But that's not the case with the Princeton Review book, because you cannot really recognize the problems as familiar. It's overall a great book.

  • This book is pretty unorganized. Chapters are divided decently but within the chapters, the contents are unorganized. It gives you some information and then some problems and then some information then some problems in disorderly manner. It gives you most of the information you need but doesn't cover much of the various types of question that are on the test.

To do well on the SAT subject test Mathmatics, you need certain skills and experience in those certain types of problems that appear on the test. This book is more like a precalculus review than a test prep for SAT mathmatics.

Two practice tests on the back are pretty good but a little harder than the actual test. Because the contents of the book doesn't cover much of the types of problems, you would feel new to the problems on the practice tests when you take them.

I recommend Kaplan's for review and practice and this book for just the two practice tests on the book. If you're going to buy just one book you'll get the most out of buying Kaplan's.

For more information about few other books, see my review for Kaplan SAT mathmatics level 2.

By the way I got an 800 on level 2 so I believe my opinion is valid.

  • i took the sat ii math level 2. i really didnt study too hard until like 2 weeks before the test. i only used this book and i still managed to crack 700. this book covers more info than that is actually on the test. the strategies that it gives are very helpful and if you just read through and do the examples, i am pretty sure that you could crack 700. i was only a sophomore when i took the test and i didnt even take calculus yet, so i must say, this book was sooo helpful!

  • This book covers both of the 1C and 2C materials under one cover, with a special remark on any 2C topic when needed. The level of difficulty of the tests are very close to what a student would confront on the test day. This book will help very much to a student with a solid precalculus background who studies by himself/herself. As an educator I recommend this book to every student and educator.

  • I owe a lot to the Princeton Review Series, but this particular book is very unhelpful. It wastes time focusing too much on the various formulas that the SAT doesn't even test. Trust me, the formula for volume of a cone won't do you much good. The worst part is the book does not distinguish between what material goes with which SAT II test- Math 1 or 2. What this book does best is freak out test-takers.

  • This book is very well organized but there is a problem with how topics are covered. There most be a lot more detail on some of the topics. However it is easy to follow ( especially without a tutor ).
