In this second book, we follow Edgar Allan Poo as he sets out to rescue his mom and to prevent the Nightmare King from trapping him in the realm of dreams forever. After reading the second book, I've come to love it even more. I love the story and the art is eye-gripping. He is currently self-publishing his comics through Hocus Pocus Comics and writing his first prose young adult series.

Dwight MacPherson has masterfully threaded details of Poe's life and writings into the very fabric of this tale. Give it a shot if you are looking for a good read. Capturing the essence of Poe's tormented spirit with an imaginative story that would leave the master himself spellbound. The narrative is both intelligent and highly creative, utilizing the many aspects of Poe, MacPherson has etched his characters with surgical precision. The story opens with Edgar in, of all places, an outhouse. Read it. I guarantee you'll be as impressed as I was.
