Since the Pendragon books have been published, I’ve heard from lots of readers, and one question keeps coming up more than any other: Will Bobby ever see his family and Uncle Press again? Good question. You see, as much as each Pendragon book contains its own unique adventure, there’s also a much larger story being told here. But no sooner was it back in place when surprisingly, it began to twitch.

  • I really loved this one! It was my fave out of the series so far! It was great to see Loor fighting alongside Bobby again and the Martix-esque world was super intriguing! I can't believe this is an MG series because i enjoy the heck out of it. I told myself I wouldn't start Black Water until i got more out my TBR list but not sure if that's a promise I can keep. I love Bobby Pendragon's world!

  • I'm reading this series because my son read them and enjoyed them so much, and wanted to be able to talk about it with someone. Though this series is written for young teens, anyone who enjoys a good adventure will appreciate it. Cynical adults like myself will often see where the next turn might lead, but that doesn't take away from the truly amazing adventure at hand. MacHale has created a world (or worlds, or Halla, or territory, or...) that has its own rules, making it easy to achieve the required "suspension of disbelief" needed to lose oneself in this saga. One book in the series is not enough - you must read them all. this review will act as my commentary on the entire series. A+!

  • Don't know why the Pendragon series never got hugely popular; this is my second time reading it, and it's excellent. I wish every kid (and adult) would take the time, they wouldn't be disappointed. It's magical, suspense-filled, has villains, heroes, the works. I'm buying the series (again), because when my daughter left home, she took her copies with her and I want my own.

  • This is a decent book series for teens. Pretty well written, I remember liking them when I read the series :) I bought this one as a gift but have finished the series myself so I don't exactly remember what all happens in this exact book. However, I used to love reading them and think there are plenty of interesting plot twists for a young reader.

  • The Pendragon series is about a 15 year old boy who travels to different worlds that are called territories. In the series, Bobby Pendragon discovers that he is a traveler and, in each of the books, travels to different territories in the Universe. He writes journals and sends them back to his friends. Most of the books are his journal. In this book, The Reality Bug, Earth is called Second Earth, and Bobby goes to the territory called Veelox.
When Bobby leaves Second Earth and goes to Veelox, he meets a girl named Aja Killian, who shows him what is happening on Veelox. There is a computer program called Lifelight. An evil man named Saint Dane is using Lifelight to take control of everyone on Veelox. Lifelight will take you into your fantasy. You can choose anything you want, and it will happen. The only problem is that since people love to live their fantasy, they don't want to live in reality. So all the people stay indoors all the time in the computer program, and their world starts to crumble. There is no one to work, or clean, or sell, or buy, and their world begins to fall apart. This is exactly what Saint Dane wants. He goes from territory to territory and tries to destroy each one. His final goal is to take over all of Halla, which is everything and every time that ever existed. So far Saint Dane has not been able to destroy any territories because Bobby travels to wherever Saint Dane goes and tries to protect the territory. This is a great books full of action and suspense. I could not put it down and read it in several days. There are a lot of cool girl characters in the series too. You should start with the first in the series though.

  • Here you have Bobby Pendragon once again fighting the seemingly never ending battle against Saint Dane. It was a great story and a great setting, but the ending bothered me a little from an emotional standpoint. From a literary point of view, however, it did make sense because it created the proper mood and suspense that this series has going through several situations. Anyone who has read the other previous books in the series must definitely read this one and the ones that follow, which I myself intend on doing.

  • I love the Pendragon books, and recommend them to anyone who wants a good adventure. I am going through them again right now through the audio books. If I had to list them all in order this would be my least favorite only because what starts out great and the idea behind it, the final fight to save the territory of Velox is way out there and even in this universe that D.J. MacHale created seems too unrealistic to happen. It just be me, however I do love the side story of Mark and Courtney in this book as well the effects that happen in this book that hit the rest of the series.

  • I have been getting this series of books for my middle school students. They enjoy a story that lasts longer than one "episode". So I picked up on the Pendragon series and now they wait in line to check them out. The like how the character is getting older in the stories and has more responsibility in the story line. At times I find them cheering the other characters on to the next adventure. OH, and I preview them first, so I get to enjoy the stories also. Good clean reading with a modern twist to it and lots of adventure.
